Executive Director
Dr Roni Ajao is the Executive Director of MRL® Public Sector Consultants Ltd and is a highly accomplished and experienced professional with a background spanning various fields, including public sector consultancy, academia, and international management. With a distinguished academic background including master’s degrees from the Universities of both Oxford and Cambridge, a Doctorate in Business Administration and an MBA, she brings over 25 years of high-level consultancy experience. Her professional journey includes significant roles at PricewaterCoppers and PA Consulting where she led various high-profile assignments as a Senior Consultant for government, defence, and education initiatives.
Internationally, Dr Ajao has served as a Special Technical Assitant to government ministers in Nigeria under the United Nations. Her work focused on policy development and analysis, covering critical areas such as education, security and defence, the environment, health, public sector reforms, and the policy implementation process. With expertise in programme and project management, change management, communications and stakeholder management, Dr Ajao is known for her ability to bridge global insight with local solutions, engaging directly with high-ranking officials, government ministers, diplomats, and various senior management figures.

Veera Johnson

Veera Johnson is a dynamic leader in digital transformation, with over two decades of experience in management consulting, spanning a number of markets and sectors, including the delivery of major IT transformation projects to the development of many of the UK’s eGovernment policies and startegies in the areas of eCommerce, online government to consumer services.
Veera has worked across sectors on economic development, urban regeneration, and sustainability. Her focus lies in creating scalable tech solutions with measurable public impact resulting in earning multiple accolades, including Business Woman of the Year and recognition among the top 10 Women Entrepreneurs by Energy Transition Economist and won UK women in Sustainable Technology for her work at Circulor in 2022.

Adayi Peterside
Technical Managing Consultant
Adayi Peterside is a core member of MRL®’s management team and functions as the liasion for operations in Nigeria. He specialises in data-driven planning, analysis, and stakeholder coordination. Previously a trained urban planner with degrees from the University of Port Harcourt, a master’s in urban planning fromBirmingham University, and a postgraduate certificate from the University of Oxford (Blavatnik School of Government) in Evidence in Public Policy, Adayi has led the data collection and GIS mapping for the TENS Programme in Niger State, producing one of Nigeria’s most comprehensive education datasets. His work focuses on strategic planning, capacity building, and evidence-based policy, particularly in education and urban development. He is committed to leveraging data for practical, inclusive development solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Michanne Haynes Prempeh
Senior Consultant
Michanne Haynes-Prempeh is an economist with a global track record in shaping public policy and evaluating institutional effectiveness. With 20+ years’ experience, she has worked with the Canadian Government, Inter-American Development Bank, and Commonwealth Secretariat, tackling issues from food security in Trinidad and Tobago to identifying and removing non-tariff barries to exports from developing country memebrs within the Commonwealth.
Her research spans across universities including Sussex and Birmingham, where she evaluated poverty impacts and justice sector reforms. At the University of Cambridge, she led implementation of research projects across arts and social sciences. Michanne brings a rare depth of experience to MRL®, combining academic rigour with pragmatic insight into systems reform.

Ademola Aiyenuro
Consultant
Ademola Aiyenuro is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge, with a scientific background in pathology and a strong commitment to educational and health equity. He brings a robust scientific background to MRL supporting evidence base recommendations to transfrom the education and health systems in underserved regions.
Ademola plays a vital role in coordinating logistics for statewide school data collection. He applies his research acumen to improve decision-making in education and healthcare, contributing to current initiatives under the Transfroming Education in Niger State Programme and the Health Sector Transfromation Programme. He has extensive within the Health Sector from supporting clinicians, organising outreach programmes to strategising with key stakeholders to address challenges and develop solutions that will achieve client outcomes. His passion for systems thinking and social impact is reflected in his multidisciplinary approach and dedication to underserved communities.

Moyo Awodiya
Associate Consultant
Moyosore Awodiya is a skilled professional with a background that bridges law, comunications, and deign. She brings a creative and strategic edge to programme communications and stakeholder management. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) in Law and Politics from Lancaster University, a Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School and a Diploma in Product Design from AltSchool Africa, Lagos.
In her role, Moyosore leads communication efforts and works closely with stakeholders with a focus on building strong, collaborative relationships and creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue to ensure client satisfactiona cross all projects. Moyo has a unique blend of legal knowledge and creative expertise that equip her with the tools to apporach challenges with innovation and strategic ingiht, contributing to the delivery of transformative solutions.

Sonia Okechukwu
Associate Consultant
Sonia Okechukwu is a legally trained associate consultant holding an LLB from the University of Exeter, an LPC LLM in Professional Legal Practice from BPP Law School, and a BL from the Nigerian Law School. She bring the ability to translate legal knowledge into practical, cross-sectoral solutions has been instrumental in advancing the company’s mission.
In her role at MRL®, Sonia contributes to a wide range of strategic and operational functions, including legal and compliance advisory, policy development, research, supporting executive-level coordination, and shaping strategic documents for national and international stakeholders. She plays a key role in advancing the firm’s internal governance structures and external stakeholder engagements, and has been instrumental in the preparation of high-level reports, proposals, and organisational frameworks, and has contributed to the development of key initiatives, including corporate sustainability efforts and social impact programmes.

Henrietta Otika
Programme Support Officer
Henrietta Otika is a Programme Support Consultant at MRL® Public Sector Consultants Ltd, supporting the MRL team in in Nigeria. She holds a Higher National Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering from the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa State, and completed an internship with the Ministry for Communication and Digital Economy through the Nigerian Jubilee Fund Programme, a United Nations development initiative.
In her role with MRL®, Henrietta provides critical support across programme administration, communications, and editorial functions, demonstrating a strong commitment to impactful public sector work and social transformation. She has volunteered with various non-profit organisations, supporting initiatives in skills acquisition, personal development, and health data entry. As a teen coach, she also works to promote character building and interpersonal skills among young people.
